Bagala bhath

 BAGALA BHATH


Ingredients

100 gm Vermicelli

50 gm Curds

50 gm Milk

10 gm Oil

3 gm Green chillies

5 gm Ginger

5 gm Split black gram

1 gm Mustard seeds

Curry leaves - few

Coriander leaves -1 tbsp (chopped)

Salt - to taste

Method

1. Boil vermicelli. Mix with milk and curds. 2. Add salt, curry leaves. 3. Heat oil. Add green chillies, ginger, black gram and mustard seeds. 4. Pour over vermicelli. Mix well. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.

N.B. For the tempering (Method No. 3), mustard seeds, Bengal gram, red chillies, green chillies and ginger can be used instead. Fried nuts can also be mixed with the Bagala bhath.
