Potato bonda

 


Ingredients

For Batter

150 gm Besan flour / Gram flour 

25 gm Rice flour 

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp asefodita

1 tsp chilli powder

Water - to mix 

For masala ( Stuffing )

200 gm Potatoes

50 gm Onion (chopped)

1/2 tsp fennel 

1/2 tsp mustard seeds 

2 nos Green chillies 

1 sprig curry leaves 

1 tsp chilly powder 

1 tsp curry powder 

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp salt 

1 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)

Oil - 200 ml 

Method 

1. Boil the potatoes with skin then remove and mashed it 

2. In hot oil add the mustard, fennel, curry leaves, green chillies and onion then saute it well till light brown colour 

3. Add chilly powder, turmeric and curry powder 

4. Add the mashed potatoes, salt then mix it well to combine of all ingredients

5. Finally add the coriander leaves then make into small balls 

6. Make the batter with all above ingredients mix it well, pour the water gradually to make thick batter

7. Dip the balls into batter then fry it in hot oil

8. Serve it with chutney
