SPINACH PURIS

SPINACH PURIS 

Ingredients

500 gm  Wholewheat flour

120 ml  Spinach purée

50 ml  Water

Salt  to taste

30 gm Fat (for the dough)

Fat for frying

Method

1. Sieve flour and add spinach purée, water, fat and salt to prepare a medium stiff dough. Knead well. Set aside for at least half an hour.
2. Divide the dough into even sized balls. 
3. Roll out puris evenly with a 10 cm. diameter approximately. 
4. Fry puris in enough oil, gently pressing down with a flat spoon in a circular motion. 
5. When puffed up turn over. Lightly brown on both sides.
6. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
