Ingredients
1/4 kg Horse gram
10 gm Tamarind
1 lit Water
Tempering
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
1/2 tsp Cumin
1 no Dried red chilli ( broken)
5 nos Garlic
1 no Green chilly
1 sprig Curry leaves
1 no Shallot ( Small onion )
1/4 tsp Chilly powder
1/4 tsp Coriander Powder
1 tsp Salt
Method
1. Boil the horse gram in pressure cooker or pot till very soft
2. Soak the tamarind and take out the pulp and keep it aside
3. After gram boiled well then mash it thoroughly
4. Heat the oil then add the mustard, cumin, red chilly, green chilly, crushed garlic, shallot and curry leaves
5. Pour the gram with water then left to boil for 10 mins
6. Add the chilly powder, coriander powder and tamarind pulp, check the salt
7. After it reach pouring thickness consistency then serve hot
