Yam Cutlet / Senaikilangu cutlet/kalyana senai kilangu cutlet



Ingredients

200 gm Yam

200 ml Oil

1/4 tsp Turmeric powder

1 tsp Salt

For Masala

1 tsp Fennel

1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste

2 spring Curry leaves

1 no Onion

2 nos Tomatoes 

1/2 tsp chilli powder

1/ 2 tbsp Coriander powder

1 tsp Curry Powder

1 tsp Salt

3 tbsp Grated coconut

Method 

1. Remove the skin of yam and cut into square shape.

2. Boil the yam in hot water with salt and turmeric powder then strain it and keep it aside

3. Fry the boiled yam into hot oil

4. Heat the oil, add fennel, curry leaves and onion then saute it well

5. After onion turns brown colour then add the ginger garlic paste then stir it till turn without raw smell

6. Add the chopped tomatoes, salt  and chilli powder then saute it till mash consistency 

7. Add curry powder then stir it well,pour 1/4 could water

8. Add the fried yam into the sauce then stir it, finally add the grated coconut to make it as a dry consistency 

9. Serve it with meals or curd rice
