Chicken Rendang

 Ingredients 

1/2 kg chicken ( boneless )

30 ml oil 

1 no cinnamon 

2 nos staranise 

2 nos cloves 

2 nos cardamom 

1 no lemon grass ( chopped ) 

1 cup coconut milk 

1 cup water 

2 nos lemon leaves 

 salt - to taste 

1/2 tsp sugar 

2 tbsp grated coconuts 

 Masala Paste 

5 nos shallots 

1 inch galangal 

4 nos garlic 

1 tsp lemon grass 

3 nos red chillies 

1 inch ginger 

Method 

1. Grind the all masala ingredients and make it as paste 

2. Heat the oil and add the cinnamon, cloves, staranise and add the pasted masala into it then stir fry well 

3. Add the chicken and saute it well with masala 

4. Add the coconut milk, water and cook in slow fire 

5. Add the lemon leaves, coconut cook the chicken for 10 mins 

6. make it dry of all liquid and serve
