Chicken in spicy coconut sauce / Ajam Kelapa

 Ingredients 

1/2 kg Chicken 

30 ml Groundnut oil 

200 ml Coconut milk 

1/2 tsp turmeric 

1 tbsp chopped Ginger 

1 no Chopped Onion

4 no Garlic 

1 tsp Chilli sauce 

1 cup water  

1/2 tsp Sugar 

curry leaves 

1 no Spring onion ( chopped)

Method 

1. Marinate the chicken with turmeric and salt and keep it aside 

2. Make the paste of ginger, garlic, onion, water  and chilli sauce 

3. Apply the paste to the chicken and left for a hour 

4. Heat the oil and shallow fry the chicken for 10 mins 

5. Pour the coconut milk, sugar, salt and curry leaves cook the chicken till tender 

6. Garnish with chopped spring onion
