Ingredients
- 1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 1/4 Cup Sooji (White Rawa)
- 3 Tbsp Fenugreek Leaves
- 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 Cup Water - for dough
Spices:
- 2 Tsp Ajwain (Carrom Seeds)
- 1 Tsp Chili Powder - optional
- 1.5 Tsp Salt - use as per taste
Method
Make the Methi Mathri Dough:
- Add the flour, spices and oil, to make the dough turns into a crumble.
- Pour the water and to make a smooth dough.
Make the Methi Mathri:
- Divide the prepared dough into 4 equal parts and make smooth balls.
- Spread some dry flour on a flat surface
- Flatten and roll it into a circular disc using a rolling pin
Fried Methi Mathri
- Heat 1 cup oil in a wok/deep pan.
- Add 4-5 uncooked mathri and stir continuously for 1-2 minutes (keep turning the mathri).
