Methi Mathri


Ingredients





  • 1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Sooji (White Rawa)
  • 3 Tbsp Fenugreek Leaves
  • 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 Cup Water - for dough




Spices:





  • 2 Tsp Ajwain (Carrom Seeds)
  • 1 Tsp Chili Powder - optional
  • 1.5 Tsp Salt - use as per taste




Method





Make the Methi Mathri Dough:









  1. Add the flour, spices and oil, to make the dough turns into a crumble.
  2. Pour the water and to make a smooth dough.




Make the Methi Mathri:





  1. Divide the prepared dough into 4 equal parts and make smooth balls.
  2. Spread some dry flour on a flat surface 
  3. Flatten and roll it into a circular disc using a rolling pin 




Fried Methi Mathri





  1. Heat 1 cup oil in a wok/deep pan.
  2. Add 4-5 uncooked mathri and stir continuously for 1-2 minutes (keep turning the mathri).
