Green Peas Pulao / pea pulao



Ingredients

200 gm Pulao rice ( Basmati rice)

150 gm Green peas ( Fresh )

2 nos Onion

2 nos Tomatoes

3 nos Green chillies

2 tbsp Ginger & garlic paste

2 nos cinnamon sticks

5 nos cloves

5 nos Cardamom

2 nos Bay leaf

2 nos Staranise

2 tbsp Chopped mint leaves

2 tbsp chopped Coriander leaves

5 tbsp Ghee

3 tbsp Oil

2 tbsp Cashew nuts

Method

  1. Soak the rice in water and keep it aside
  2. Slice the 1no onion and fry it in oil till golden brown colour, remove and keep it aside
  3. In same oil fry the Whole garam masala
  4. Add the green chillies and balance onion then sauté it well
  5. Add the ginger garlic paste sauté well till the raw smell out
  6.  Put the sliced tomatoes, green peas and salt mix it well
  7. Pour the 1:2 measure of water, check the salt and leave it to boil
  8. Add the soaked rice, stir it occasionally till dry of 90%of water
  9. Put the cashew nuts, chopped mint and coriander leaves above the rice
  10.  Put it in dum or double bolied method
  11. Place the rice container above the tawa (or)kadai, seal and close the lid with dough
  12. Leave it for 15 mins in dum
  13. Break the seal and mix the pulao without breaking
  14. Serve hot with veg gravies and raita
