Ingredients
200 gm Pulao rice ( Basmati rice)
150 gm Green peas ( Fresh )
2 nos Onion
2 nos Tomatoes
3 nos Green chillies
2 tbsp Ginger & garlic paste
2 nos cinnamon sticks
5 nos cloves
5 nos Cardamom
2 nos Bay leaf
2 nos Staranise
2 tbsp Chopped mint leaves
2 tbsp chopped Coriander leaves
5 tbsp Ghee
3 tbsp Oil
2 tbsp Cashew nuts
Method
- Soak the rice in water and keep it aside
- Slice the 1no onion and fry it in oil till golden brown colour, remove and keep it aside
- In same oil fry the Whole garam masala
- Add the green chillies and balance onion then sauté it well
- Add the ginger garlic paste sauté well till the raw smell out
- Put the sliced tomatoes, green peas and salt mix it well
- Pour the 1:2 measure of water, check the salt and leave it to boil
- Add the soaked rice, stir it occasionally till dry of 90%of water
- Put the cashew nuts, chopped mint and coriander leaves above the rice
- Put it in dum or double bolied method
- Place the rice container above the tawa (or)kadai, seal and close the lid with dough
- Leave it for 15 mins in dum
- Break the seal and mix the pulao without breaking
- Serve hot with veg gravies and raita
