Alu Khorma






Ingredients





150 gm (4 nos) – potatoes





½ no coconut





5 cm Ginger





4 nos garlic





2 nos Green chillies





1tbsp Coriander leaves





2 nos Onions





2 nos Tomatoes





1 tsp fennel





3 nos cardamoms





1 no cinnamon stick





4 nos cloves





5 tbsp Oil





½ no Lime





Salt to taste





Method





  1. Peel potatoes and cut into cubes
  2. Grind together of ginger, garlic, greenchillies,onion and fennel
  3. Heat the oil in kadai, add the cinnamon, cloves and bay leaf
  4. Add the sliced onion sauté it and make lite brown colour
  5. Add the ground masala, sauté it to reduce the raw flavor
  6. Put the sliced tomatoes and salt mix it well
  7. Add the potatoes and I cup of hot water then leave it to boil for 10 mins
  8. Take out from fire and pour the lime juice, mix it well and serve with pulao or roti
