Ingredients
250 gm Mawa
125 gm Sugar
200 gm Coconut (grated fine and dried)
Pink or green colour if desired
Method
- Mix sugar with mawa and put into a fry-pan over gentle heat and stir.
- When mixture is ready (mixture forms balls which tested with fingers) remove from fire. Add coconut and stir well.
- Spread on a greased tray (keeping a little aside).
- Mix colouring with the portion set aside (the colour should be light).
- Put back on fire. Cook till it becomes creamy.
- Spread on top of the first layer. Allow to cool, cut into cubes and use as desired.
