BAKLAVA


Ingredients

200 gm Refined flour

1 no Egg

50 Gm fat

1/2 tsp Salt

20 gm Almond

20 gm Cashew nuts

100 gm Powdered Sugar

100 gm Butter

1/2 tsp Cardamom powder

Water - to mix

Method

  1. Mix chopped almonds, cashew nuts, powdered sugar, cardamom powder and butter
  2. Sieve flour the flour with salt
  3. Mix with beaten egg and water
  4. Mix it well to make smooth dough
  5. keep it rest for 1/2 an hour
  6. Divide the dough and roll each piece very thin on a floured into square shape
  7. place one square on a tray and brush melted butter, sprinkle some fillings and place the second square on top. Continue making 3 layers
  8. Press the edges, so that fillings does not come out during baking
  9. Wash the top with water and bake at 180 degree Celsius for 15 mins
  10. Brush the sugar syrup on top then cool it
