Ingredients
225 ml curd
2 tbsp Gram flour
200 ml water
2 tsp Sugar
1 tsp salt
2 nos radish
1 tbsp oil
Asafoetida - Pinch
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
2 nos red chillies
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chopped ginger
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Method
- whip curd until it turn smooth.
- combine gram flour with water and the curd
- Add sugar, salt and radish and bring to boil over a moderate flame
- Simmer for 10 mins, before removing the radish from the pan and dicing them
- In frying pan, heat oil and add hing, mustard seeds, cumin and coriander seeds
- toss in the curry leaves and the chillies
- Finally add the ginger and the garlic
- After a few seconds add the spices to the soup, simmer for 5 mins
- Strain the soup, add diced radish and serve hot garnished with chopped coriander.
