Dahi ka shorba


Ingredients





225 ml curd





2 tbsp Gram flour





200 ml water





2 tsp Sugar





1 tsp salt





2 nos radish





1 tbsp oil





Asafoetida - Pinch





1 tsp mustard seeds





1 tsp cumin





1 tsp coriander seeds





1 sprig curry leaves





2 nos red chillies





1 tsp chopped garlic





1 tsp chopped ginger





1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves





Method





  1. whip curd until it turn smooth.
  2. combine gram flour with water and the curd
  3. Add sugar, salt and radish and bring to boil over a moderate flame
  4. Simmer for 10 mins, before removing the radish from the pan and dicing them
  5. In frying pan, heat oil and add hing, mustard seeds, cumin and coriander seeds
  6. toss in the curry leaves and the chillies
  7. Finally add the ginger and the garlic
  8. After a few seconds add the spices to the soup, simmer for 5 mins
  9. Strain the soup, add diced radish and serve hot garnished with chopped coriander.
