Vanilla Sablee
Preparation time : 50 mins
Yield : 75 nos ( 750 gm )
Ingredients
225 gm Fat
110 gm Powdered Sugar
2 gm Salt
2 gm Vanilla powder or Essence
1/2 no Egg
375 gm Refined flour
Method
1. Cream the butter well on the working table or vessel.
2. Add in the powdered sugar and cream well
3. Start adding the egg slowly a little at a time, creaming it well
4. Once all the eggs has been added to the butter mixture and is creamed well, fold in the cake flour mixed with salt
5. Rest the dough for 30 mins
6. Once the dough hardens then roll them into a log og 30 cm each and chill them again in refrigerator
7. once the logs are chilled brush them with water on the sides and roll them in granulated sugar ( normal sugar)
8. Cut them into 1 cm each and place them on to greased and dusted tray
9. Bake them at 175℃ till it is light brown in colour
10. Cool it and use it
