Queen Cake / குயின் கேக் / क्वीन केक
Yield : 1/2 kg
Ingredients
120 gm Fat
120 gm Refined flour
120 gm Castor Sugar
2 nos Eggs
60 gm Candied peel ( orange peel candied)
4 gm Baking powder
1 cap Vanilla powder
Salt - a pinch
Method
1. Measure all the ingredients
2. Cream the fat on the working table or vessel and then start adding in the sugar then cream it well
3. Start adding the eggs slowly a little at a time, cream it well.
4. Once all the egg is taken into the fat mixture, add the chopped candied peel
5. Sieve the flour with baking powder, the salt and fold it into the above mixture
6. Fold the mixture gently
7. Pour the mixture into the lined baking trays and bake them at 175℃ till done
8. Cool them on wire rack and then sliced and serve it
