 Dates and Walnut Tea Cake 



Ingredients 

225 gm Dates 

30 gm Tea leaves 

270 ml Water 

5 gm Baking powder 

275 gm Cake flour 

5 gm Cinnamon powder 

100 gm Butter 

50 gm Walnuts 

100 gm Jaggery 


Method 

1. Measure all the ingredients 

2. Make a black tea with the 30 gm of tea leaves and 270 ml of water, once the black tea in ready strain it and add in the chopped dates and baking powder 

3. Soak the dates for 10 mins in the black tea and then add in the melted butter followed by the melted jaggery. whisk the mixture well 

4. Sieve the flour with the baking powder and cinnamon powder. 

5. Fold in the flour gently into the date mixture, mixed with the chopped walnuts 

6. Pour the cake batter into the cake mould and bake it at 175 ℃, till done and once baked slice and serve it in Tea time.
