Tomato Rasam / Thakkali Rasam /தக்காளி ரசம்

Ingredients 

For boiling 

3 nos Tomatoes

1 spring curry leaves 

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp Turmeric powder 

For Paste 

1 tsp Peppercorn

1 tbsp Cumin

2 nos Red chillies 

10 cloves Garlic 

1 tbsp Coriander leaves

For Tempering 

1 tsp Mustard seeds 

2 nos Greenchillies 

1 spring Curry leaves 

5 nos Crushed Garlic 

1 tbsp Oil 

Water - 3 cups 


Method 

1. Cut the tomatoes and boil it till mash consistency with curry leaves and turmeric



   2. Grind firstly the dry ingredients like chilly, peppercorns and cumin 

secondly add the wet ingredients like garlic and coriander leaves 






3. Mash the tomatoes after boiled well, then add the ground masala into it



4. Add the sufficient water ( 3 cups ) into the mixture add the salt and check the seasoning  


5. Tempering the below ingredients in oil 









6. Pour the tempering into the rasam water and also add the chopped coriander leaves 



7. Don't leave to boil the rasam, it reach the foaming texture then switch off the fire 



8. Serve it with rice or as like soup
