Chelsea Bun /Roll Bun / Roll fruit bun

Chelsea Bun 


Ingredients 

200 gm Flour 

30 gm Fat 

5 gm Yeast 

2 gm Salt 

100 ml Milk

30 gm Sugar

3 gm Spices 

1 ml Lemon Essence 

1 no Egg white  

3 gm Butter /fat 

40 gm Chopped raisins/sultana / Tutti fruity 


Method 

1. Make a dough with all the ingredients except butter 

2. Give 20 mins for fermentation then make the sheet on a floured table into rectangular shape 

3. Brush with butter or melted butter and sprinkle the chopped and cleaned raisins with a little sugar 



4. Roll it like Swiss roll and brush with melted butter 

5. Cut into equal slices and place each ( the cut side should be up ) in a greased tray 


6. Proof it. Bake at 230℃  for 20 mins 

7. Brush over the buns while still hot with sugar syrup
