Red Gram Chutney / Toor dal Chutney / तुअर दाल चटनी / துவரம்பருப்பு சட்னி- step by step procedure with pictures



  Ingredients   

4 tbsp groundnut oil 

1 tsp Mustard seeds 

15 nos Garlic 

4 nos Red chiilies 

Small piece Tamarind 

2 nos Onion

2 nos Tomatoes 

1/4 Coconut 

1 cup Red gram /  toor dal 


Method 

1. Heat the oil, add the mustard seeds and garlic then saute it well

2. Roast the red gram into it to make a favorable, after that add the red chillies and tamarind

3. Add the onion and tomatoes to saute it well

4 . Tomatoes reach the softness then add the Coconut and saute it well 


5. To make a fine paste, the chutney is ready to serve with idly and dosa
