Bengal gram chutney / kadalaparuppu chutney / கடலைப்பருப்பு சட்னி / channa dal chutney - step by step procedure with pictures

 

 


 Ingredients 

5 tbsp Oil 

3 tbsp Bengal gram ( channa dal ) 

3 nos onion 

4 nos Red chillies 

4 nos Tomatoes 

2 Spring Curry leaves 

1/2 Coconut 

1 tsp Salt 

Tempering 

oil

 Method 

1. Heat the oil in kadai then add the bengal gram roast it light brown colour 

2. Add the onion, red chillies, and curry leaves.

 3. After the onion reach brown colour then add the sliced tomatoes  and salt, make it as soft texture 

4. Finally add the grated coconut then saute it well 

 5. Cool it for 5 min then grind it in mixer grinder 

 6. Chutney is ready to serve with Chapatti, Idly and Dosa
