Red Gram Vada/ Dhal vada / Toor dal vada / துவரம் பருப்பு வடை/ तुअर दाल वडा

             It is a traditional crispy vada made out with red gram (Toor daal). It is a best choice for evening snack

Ingredients 

250 gm Red gram / Toor Daal 

3 nos Red chillies 

1 tsp Fennel 

2 nos Onion ( Chopped )

100 gm Drumstick leaves 

Oil - to Fry

 

Method 

1. Soak the Red gram ( Toor Daal) for 2 hrs. Grind it coarsely with redchillies, fennel and then add the chopped onion and chopped drumstick leaves.


 

 

 2. Mix it well and keep it ready for fry


 3. To make a even balls for making  perfect vada shape 

 


4. Use the banana leaf for flattening the vada. Fry it in medium heat to make the crispy vada 


5. Serve it with spicy onion chutney or Coconut chutney
