Tandoori Pomfert/ tandoori vaval / तंदूरी पॉमफ्रेट - step by step procedure with pictures

Ingredients 

For marination 
 
1. Lemon  - 2 wedges 
2. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp 
3. salt        - 1 tsp 
 
Sauce 
 
1. Pomfret                      - 1/2 kg 
2. Yoghurt ( curd )         -  150 ml 
3. Kashmiri chilli powder - 2 tbsp 
4. Cumin powder              - 1 tbsp 
5. Salt                                - 1/2 tbsp   
7. Turmeric powder          -  1/2 tsp            
8.  Garam Masala             -  1 tsp 
9.  Mustard oil                  -  1 cap 
10. Carom seed( Ajwain) -  1/2 tsp 
 

Method

1. Clean the pomfret fish and keep it outside

2. Add the ginger garlic paste, salt, lemon to marinate it keep it aside for an a hour

3. Take the separate vessel and add the yoghurt, chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, mustard oil, carom seeds and mix all the things together to make it as like sauce   

 

 

4. After an a hour take the marinated fish and mix the sauce into it, then keep it aside for half hour

 


5. Prepare the charcoal fire on this time keep it ready 


6. Take the skewer and hold the fish on it 


7. Place on the open fire and cook it on both sides 

 

 

8. Serve with the salad (cuchumber ) and green chutney ( tandoori chutney )
