Peas & Paneer Gravy / Paneer & Peas Curry / Pattani & Paneer Curry - Step by step procedure with Pictures

 



Ingredients 

For Paste

  1. Onion   - 4 nos 
  2. Ginger  - 20 gm
  3. Garlic   - 25 gm ( 2 no)
  4. Tomatoes - 3 nos
  5. Cashew nuts  - 30 nos 

For Gravy

  1. Butter - 25 gm 
  2. Kashmiri Chilli powder - 2 tbsp 
  3. Garam masala  - 1 tbsp 
  4. Cumin powder  - 1 tbsp 
  5. Cream or thick milk - 1 cup ( 50 ml)
  6. Green peas - 1/4 kg  
  7. Paneer ( cottage cheese) - 200 gm  ( 1 Pkt )
  8. kashthuri methi ( Fenugreek Leaves) - 1 tbsp 
  9. Honey  - 1 Cap
  10. Tomato Puree  - 5 nos ( make a puree)

 Method

1. Before starting the preparation,blanch the tomatoes for the tomato puree and soak the cashew nuts in      warm water 
                            
2. Make the onion tomato masala paste. Heat the oil in kadai add the onion,ginger and garlic then saute      it well, after that you add the chopped tomatoes and cashew nuts, now its ready to paste 
                  

3.  Melt the butter and then add the onion tomato paste and saute it well
4. Now the time to add the masalas like garam masala, Cumin powder and Kashmiri chilli powder then      saute it well    
5.  After the masala is blended well cook it for 5 min, then add the green peas cook it for 5 min
6.  Add the tomato puree and make it as a gravy 
7.  After add the puree then add the cream or Thick milk to enrich the taste 
8.  Check the taste and then add the paneer to cook it for 5 mins 
9.  Add the kashthuri methi and butter on this time to get a better flavor 

10. Finally add the honey to enrich the taste 


11. It is very much suitable for chappati, paratha, and all indian rotis
